Gene Bernshtam is the founder and principal of Avalon Holdings LLC, a Chicago-based commercial real estate investment and development firm specializing in apartment buildings and mixed-use properties.
With decades of hands-on experience, Gene has developed over 300 units and currently owns and operates over 600 units across the Chicago market. Avalon's platform spans the full real estate lifecycle — investment, development, asset management, repositioning, and consulting.
The firm is known for its distinctive contemporary design aesthetic. Gene is currently expanding Avalon's footprint across Chicago and Miami, with a focus on luxury residential and mixed-use development.

David Gamperl
David Gamperl is a Chicago-based serial entrepreneur and real estate developer with over 30 years of experience across commercial real estate, logistics, CPG, energy, and capital markets.
His real estate track record spans $500M+ in development across Chicago's Fulton Market, Montecito (CA), Harbor Country, and the broader Chicago metro — with every project reaching a successful exit.
David's active ventures include Vinci (a luxury fractional and buyer-advisory platform in Montecito), a Chicago multifamily portfolio, and the Cave Creek Preserve — a 45-acre luxury estate development in Arizona.
